OVERVIEW

A vulnerability has been identified in Hitachi Storage Command Suite
        products.

IMPACT

The vendor has provided the following description of the vulnerability:

"If a Hitachi Storage Command Suite product uses an LDAP directory
server as an external authentication server, the StartTLS function
might not be enabled even if the connection protocol is set to use
StartTLS. Due to the above problem, communications might be leaked to
        a third party." [1]

The following products are affected by this vulnerability:

        * Hitachi Device Manager Software for Windows, Linux and Solaris
        versions 6.1.0-00 to 6.1.0-02, 6.1.1-00 to 6.1.1-04, 6.2.0-00 to
        6.2.0-01

        Solaris versions 6.1.0-00 to 6.1.0-01, 6.1.1-00 to 6.1.1-01, 6.2.0-00
        to 6.2.0-01

        6.1.0-00, 6.2.0-00 to 6.2.0-01

        * Hitachi Global Link Manager Software for Windows versions 6.1.0-00
        to 6.1.0-01, 6.2.0-00
