OVERVIEW

        Interim Fix 5.1.0.1 for IBM Tivoli Identity Manager version 5.1
        has been released correcting multiple security vulnerabilities.


IMPACT

        The vendor has provided the following information regarding these
        vulnerabilities:
        
           * "An unnecessarily large LDAP search may be generated from 
             userIDExists() with blank uid values." [1]
        
           * "With SSO enabled, the passwordsynch servlet doesn't 
             authenticate login user." [1]


MITIGATION

        IBM have released Interim Fix 5.1.0.1-TIV-TIM-IF0007 to correct 
        these issues. It is available from the vendor's website. [1]
