OVERVIEW

        A buffer overflow vulnerability in IBM Lotus iNotes ActiveX Control
        could allow execution of arbitrary code.


IMPACT

        IBM has made the following statements regarding this vulnerability:
        
        "It is possible for an attacker to compromise the ActiveX controls
        used within Lotus iNotes to execute arbitrary code resulting in a
        buffer overflow situation." [1]


MITIGATION

        IBM advises this issue has been fixed in iNotes releases 7.0.4 and
        8.5. [1]
        
        Workarounds have also been supplied by IBM. [1]
