OVERVIEW

        A number of vulnerabilities have been identified in VLC media player
        prior to version 1.0.6.


IMPACT

        These vulnerabilities could allow the execution of arbitrary code
        through specially crafted malicious files. [1]


MITIGATION

        The vendor has released an update to correct these vulnerabilities. [1]
