OVERVIEW

        vBulletin has released a security patch to address a vulnerability
        in version 3.8.6.


IMPACT

        Limited information about the vulnerability is available on the 
        vendor's public site:
        
        "It has come to our attention that 3.8.6 contains a security 
        exploit related to the FAQ." [1]


MITIGATION

        The vendor has provided installation and download instructions
        on their website. [1]
        
        The Release 3.8.6 PL1 Security Patch is available for download
        from the member site. [2]
