OVERVIEW

        Microsoft will be releasing one out-of-band security patche for 
        their products on Tuesday 3 August 2010 at around:
                        
               4:00 am - AEST (ACT, NSW, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria)
               3:30 am - ACST (SA, NT)
               2:00 am - AWST (WA)
                        
        Further details are available from the Microsoft web site [1].


IMPACT

        Microsoft will be releasing one security bulletin:
                        
        Critical:
                - one for Microsoft Windows


MITIGATION

        AusCERT advises that system administrators consider patching their
        machines as quickly as possible following their release by Microsoft.
        Bulletin information will be available from the Microsoft web site
        soon after their release, and AusCERT will be distributing bulletin
        to AusCERT members on Tuesday.
