OVERVIEW

A number of vulnerabilities have been identified in phpMyAdmin prior
        to versions 2.11.10.1 and 3.3.5.1.

IMPACT

The vendor has provided the following descriptions of these
        vulnerabilities:

"The setup script used to generate configuration can be fooled using
a crafted POST request to include arbitrary PHP code in generated
configuration file. Combined with the ability to save files on the
server, this can allow unauthenticated users to execute arbitrary
PHP code." [1] The vendor has stated that branch 3.x is not affected
        by this vulnerability.

"It was possible to conduct a XSS attack using crafted URLs or POST
parameters on several pages." [2] The vendor has stated that both
branches 2.x and 3.x are affected by this vulnerability.

MITIGATION

The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest version of phpMyAdmin
        to correct these vulnerabilities.
