IMPACT The vendor has provided the following descriptions of these vulnerabilities: "The setup script used to generate configuration can be fooled using a crafted POST request to include arbitrary PHP code in generated configuration file. Combined with the ability to save files on the server, this can allow unauthenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code." [1] The vendor has stated that branch 3.x is not affected by this vulnerability. "It was possible to conduct a XSS attack using crafted URLs or POST parameters on several pages." [2] The vendor has stated that both branches 2.x and 3.x are affected by this vulnerability. MITIGATION The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest version of phpMyAdmin to correct these vulnerabilities.
