OVERVIEW

        Two security vulnerabilities in IBM DB2 9.7 have been corrected in
        Fix Pack 3. [1]


IMPACT

        The vendor has provided the following description of this
        vulnerability:
        
        "Functions are not invalidated nor dropped even when the owner loses
        sufficient privilege to access underlying objects.
        
        Update against a table via a compound sql (compiled) statement may be
        executed by user wthout required privileges" [1]


MITIGATION

        The vendor recommends upgrading to the latest version of IBM DB2
        (Fix Pack 3) to correct these issues. [1]
