OVERVIEW

        A vulnerability has been identified in WordPress 3.4.2 and prior. [1]


IMPACT

        National Vulnerability Database provides the following information:
        
        "WordPress 3.4.2 does not invalidate a wordpress_sec session cookie 
        upon an administrator's logout action, which makes it easier for 
        remote attackers to discover valid session identifiers via a brute-
        force attack, or modify data via a replay attack." [1]


MITIGATION

        Version 3.5 is available from the vendor to address this issue. [2]
