OVERVIEW

        A cross-scripting vulnerability has been discovered in WordPress prior
        to version 4.4.1.


IMPACT

        The vendor has provided the following information:
        
        CVE-2016-1564: "WordPress versions 4.4 and earlier are affected by a
        cross-site scripting vulnerability that could allow a site to be 
        compromised. This was reported by Crtc4L." [1]


MITIGATION

        The vendor recommends updating to the latest version. [1]
