OVERVIEW

        A vulnerability has been identified in McAfee Web Gateway prior to 
        versions 7.6.2.18, 7.7.2.8 and 7.8.0.3. [1]


IMPACT

        The vendor has provided the following details regarding the 
        vulnerability:
        
        "CVE-2017-1000405 
        A flaw was found in the patches used to fix the 
        'Dirty Cow' vulnerability (CVE-2016-5195). An attacker, able to run
        local code, can exploit a race condition in transparent huge pages,
        to modify usually read-only huge pages." [1]


MITIGATION

        The vendor strongly recommends users upgrade to the latest versions
        to address this issue. [1]
