This Security Bulletin supersedes the previous rlogin security bulletin HPSBUX9702-052, released on 5th February 1997. PLATFORM: HP9000 Series 700/800s running HP-UX 9.X and HP-UX 10.X releases. DAMAGE: A user could potentially gain access to privileged data. Fixing the problems The problem can both be eliminated by applying the recommended patch. C. Recommended solution Hewlett-Packard recommends that the following patch be applied as appropriate: HP-UX 9.00/01/03/04/05/07 : PHNE_11726 HP-UX 10.00/01/10 : PHNE_11727 HP-UX 10.20/30 : PHNE_11728 D.
