Microsoft Corporation has released the following security bulletin
concerning a security vulnerability in Microsoft Windows Media Services.

If the client-side handshake packets between a Windows Media server and a 
Windows Media Player are sent in a particular misordered sequence, the 
server may attempt to use a resource before it has been initialised and 
will fail, causing the Windows Media Unicast Service to crash.

The vulnerability could allow denial of service attacks against a
streaming media server on a MS Windows system.
