Please refer to HP Compaq SSRT2253, which says in part: CSWS Secure Web Server for HP Tru64 UNIX and HP OpenVMS "Potential Apache Web Server Chunk Handling Vulnerability" Patches are available for CSWS for HP Tru64 UNIX at: http://tru64unix.compaq.com/internet/download.htm#sws_v591 Patches are available for CSWS for HP OpenVMS at: http://www.openvms.compaq.com/openvms/products/ips/apache/ +csws_patches.html B. Fixing the problem Note: OpenView Network Node Manager (NNM) customers should not install the ftp bundles. The version of Apache delivered with NNM is under investigation. This bulletin will be updated when more information is available. The Virtualvault product (also known as HP-UX 11.04) has patches for its 4.5 and 4.6 releases. The patch for VV 4.6 updates the outside web server to the Apache 1.3.26 version from the Apache 1.3.22 version shipped with the VV 4.6 release. For the VV 4.5 patch, the security fix from the Apache 1.3.26 version was backported to the 1.3.19 version per the Apache Group's patch for httpd 1.2.0-1.3.22. Both of these Virtualvault patches are available in itrc.hp.com. PHSS_27361 - for VV 4.6 release. PHSS_27371 - for VV 4.5 release. **REVISED 04** - -->> The fixes for both PA-RISC and IPF (Intel Processor Family) - -->> versions are in the form of new product bundles, instead of patches. An ftp server account has been created to enable timely downloading of these binaries. System: hprc.external.hp.com (192.170.19.51) Login: apache Password: apache FTP Access: ftp://apache:apache@hprc.external.hp.com/ or: ftp://apache:apache@192.170.19.51/ NOTE: If your Apache 1.3.26.00.09 binary was downloaded since this Security Bulletin was orginally issued you may want to repeat that retrieval operation for the following fixes: 1) Saving of configuration files (i.e. httpd.conf) during an update. 2) Automatically starting HP Apache after a reboot. 3) Missing tuning notes This does not affect the security matter. We apologize for the inconvenience. The new Apache 1.3.26.01.00 bits (now labelled as .depot file for this version) is available now the directory Apache1.3.26.01.
