Background Hewlett-Packard makes available for web download from its software portal located at www.software.hp.com the Instant Support Enterprise Edition (ISEE) product U2512A to entitled HP Support customers. A flaw permitting unprivileged users access to privileged system files has been discovered and repaired. This affects HP product number U2512A only on HP-UX 11.00 and 11.11 servers. To determine if your client has the vulnerable package installed, execute: #cksum /opt/hpservices/bin/mad 1021439841 4108288 /opt/hpservices/bin/mad # B. Recommended solution HP has made the patch binaries available from an ftp server hprc.external.hp.com. The account has been created to enable timely downloading of these binaries.
