Abstract

IBM Rational Publishing Engine (RPE) version 1.1.2.2 (and older) include 
Eclipse components that provide functionality to display the help. This 
component is vulnerable to cross-site scripting or to open redirect attacks. 
The risk is low since an attacker would need access to desktop applications to
input a malicious URL.

from trusted to untrusted web sites when users click a malicious link.

AFFECTED PLATFORMS: Version 1.1.2.2 and earlier of IBM Rational Publishing 
Engine running on Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems are affected.

REMEDIATION: The recommended solution is to update RPE to version 1.2 as soon
as practical. Please see below for information on the fixes available.
