Summary

IBM Business Process Manager (BPM)V8.5.5.0 includes a web based
application for administering the IBM BPM DocumentStore. A cross-site
scripting vulnerability (CVE-2014-4763) and an open source library for
XML processing vulnerability (CVE-2014-0107) have been reported in this
web based application.

Description:
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Content Navigator in Content
Engine in IBM FileNet Content Manager 5.2.x before 5.2.0.3-P8CPE-IF003
and Content Foundation 5.2.x before 5.2.0.3-P8CPE-IF003 allows remote
authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via a crafted URL.

Remediation/Fixes

Install IBM Business Process Manager interim fix JR51503 as appropriate
for your current IBM Business Process Manager version.

Workarounds and Mitigations

The vulnerable application is required only for IBM Support to gather
additional information. By default, only a single administrative user
(deployment environment administrator) can access the application. You
can prevent access to the application by removing all users and groups
from the security role mapping in this application.
In the administrative console, go to Applications > Application Types >
WebSphere Enterprise Applications > IBM_BPM_DocStoreAdmin_<clusterName> >
Security role to user/group mapping and remove all users and groups from
the role mapping.
