Summary

A vulnerability in the kernel timers in Cisco IOS Software could allow an 
unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a reload of the affected device.

The vulnerability is due to improper management of kernel timers. An attacker
could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted traffic, causing updates 
to timers used by the Zone-Based Firewall feature.

Summary

A vulnerability in the Zone-Based Firewall feature of Cisco IOS Software could
allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause an affected device to 
reload.

The vulnerability is due improper management of specific internal structures 
linked to firewall session objects. An attacker could exploit this 
vulnerability by sending crafted traffic through the firewall feature. An 
exploit could allow the attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition.
