VULNERABILITY SUMMARY
A potential security vulnerability has been identified in HP P9000, XP7
Command View Advanced Edition Suite including Device Manager, Tiered Storage
Manager, Replication Manager, Replication Monitor, and Hitachi Automation
Director (HAD). This vulnerability could be remotely exploited to allow
disclosure of information.

RESOLUTION

HPE has released the following software updates to resolve the vulnerability
in HP P9000 and XP7 Command View Advanced Edition (CVAE) Software Suite:

HP CVAE Device Manager 8.4.1-00 or later
HP XP P9000 Tiered Storage Manager 8.4.1-00 or later
HP XP P9000 Replication Manager 8.4.1-00 or later

HPE has provided following mitigation workaround:

Enable SSL configuration for communications between HP P9000 and/or XP7
Command View Advanced Edition products and connected clients.
