VULNERABILITY SUMMARY

Some commands in NonStop Safeguard and NonStop Standard Security software
require username and password to be passed as command line parameters, which
may lead to a local disclosure of the credentials.

  o SAFEGUARD All prior versions before SPR T9750L01^AIC or T9750H05^AIH, and
    later versions when the PASSWORD-PROMPT configuration attribute is not set
    to BLIND; all versions on H-series.
  o STDSEC-STANDARD SECURITY PROD All prior versions before T6533L01^ADU or
    T6533H05^ADW, and later versions when the PASSWORD-PROMPT configuration
    attribute is not set to BLIND; all versions on H-series.

Install the appropriate SPRs as shown below, based on your release version:

L-series: T9750L01^AIC (SAFEGUARD) - already available T6533L01^ADU
(STDSEC-STANDARD SECURITY PROD) - already available

J-series: T9750H05^AIH (SAFEGUARD) - will be available in next J-series RVU
T6533H05^ADW (STDSEC-STANDARD SECURITY PROD) - will be available in next
J-series RVU

H-series: No fix is planned.

Note: Read and follow the instructions provided in SUPPORT NOTE S18025 prior to
the installation of the above SPRs.
