Vulnerability Details

CVEID: CVE-2019-4080
DESCRIPTION: IBM WebSphere Application Server Admin Console is vulnerable to a
potential denial of service, caused by improper parameter parsing. A remote
attacker could exploit this to consume all available CPU resources.
CVSS Base Score: 6.5
CVSS Temporal Score: See https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/
157380 for the current score
CVSS Environmental Score*: Undefined
CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H)

CVEID: CVE-2019-4046
DESCRIPTION: IBM WebSphere Application Server is vulnerable to a denial of
service, caused by improper handling of request headers. A remote attacker
could exploit this vulnerability to cause the consumption of Memory.
CVSS Base Score: 5.9
CVSS Temporal Score: See https://exchange.xforce.ibmcloud.com/vulnerabilities/

CVEID: CVE-2019-4030
DESCRIPTION: IBM WebSphere Application Server is vulnerable to cross-site
scripting. This vulnerability allows users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code
in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to
credentials disclosure within a trusted session.

Remediation/Fixes

The IBM Jazz Team Server based Applications bundle different versions of IBM
WebSphere Application Server with the available versions of the products, and
in addition to the bundled version some previous versions of WAS are also
supported. Information about multiple security vulnerabilities affecting WAS
have been published in the Security Bulletins below.

For CLM applications version 5.0 to 6.0.6 review each of the Security
Bulletins to determine if your WAS version is affected and the required
remediation:

Security Bulletin: Potential denial of service in WebSphere Application Server
Admin Console (CVE-2019-4080)
Security Bulletin: Potential denial of service vulnerability in WebSphere
Application Server (CVE-2019-4046)
Security Bulletin: Cross-site scripting vulnerability in WebSphere Application
Server Admin Console (CVE-2019-4030)
Security Bulletin: Potential Spoofing vulnerability in WebSphere Application
Server (CVE-2018-1902)
Security Bulletin: Weaker than expected security in WebSphere Application
Server with SP800-131 transition mode (CVE-2018-1996)
