( CVE-2016-0723) Impact Authenticated, local users with Advanced Shell (bash) access for BIG-IP, BIG-IQ, F5 iWorkflow, or Enterprise Manager systems, or console access for Traffix SDC systems, can install a specially crafted program to read very small amounts (4 bytes) of memory or potentially cause a kernel panic. Security Advisory Status F5 Product Development has assigned ID 601271 (BIG-IP), ID 601289 (BIG-IQ), ID 601289-1 (F5 iWorkflow), ID 601291 (Enterprise Manager), and INSTALLER-2518 (Traffix SDC) to this vulnerability. Security Advisory Recommended Actions If you are running a version listed in the Versions known to be vulnerable column, you can eliminate this vulnerability by upgrading to a version listed in the Versions known to be not vulnerable column. If the table lists only an older version than what you are currently running, or does not list a non-vulnerable version, then no upgrade candidate currently exists.
