Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvv49739 CSCvw31710 CSCvw51436
CVE Names: CVE-2021-34794
CWEs: CWE-284

Summary

o A vulnerability in the Simple Network Management Protocol version 3
(SNMPv3) access control functionality of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance
(ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could
allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to query SNMP data.

This vulnerability is due to ineffective access control. An attacker could
exploit this vulnerability by sending an SNMPv3 query to an affected device
from a host that is not permitted by the SNMPv3 access control list. A
successful exploit could allow the attacker to send an SNMP query to an
affected device and retrieve information from the device. The attacker
would need valid credentials to perform the SNMP query.

Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There
are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software and Firepower Threat Defense
Software IKEv2 Site-to-Site VPN Denial of Service Vulnerability

Priority: Medium
Advisory ID: cisco-sa-asaftd-ikev2-dos-g4cmrr7C
First Published: 2021 October 27 16:00 GMT
Version 1.0: Final
Workarounds: No workarounds available
Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvy93480
CVE Names: CVE-2021-40125
CWEs: CWE-416

Summary

o A vulnerability in the Internet Key Exchange Version 2 (IKEv2)
implementation of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and
Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an authenticated,
remote attacker to trigger a denial of service (DoS) condition on an
    affected device.

This vulnerability is due to improper control of a resource. An attacker
with the ability to spoof a trusted IKEv2 site-to-site VPN peer and in
possession of valid IKEv2 credentials for that peer could exploit this
vulnerability by sending malformed, authenticated IKEv2 messages to an
affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to trigger a
    reload of the device.

Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There
are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

This advisory is available at the following link:
    https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-asaftd-ikev2-dos-g4cmrr7C

This advisory is part of the October 2021 release of the Cisco ASA, FTD,
and FMC Security Advisory Bundled publication. For a complete list of the
advisories and links to them, see Cisco Event Response: October 2021 Cisco
ASA, FMC, and FTD Software Security Advisory Bundled Publication .

Affected Products

  o Vulnerable Products

At the time of publication, this vulnerability affected Cisco products if
they were running a vulnerable release of Cisco ASA Software or Cisco FTD
Software and were configured with at least one IKEv2 site-to-site VPN peer.

For information about which Cisco software releases are vulnerable, see the
Fixed Software section of this advisory. See the Details section in the bug
ID(s) at the top of this advisory for the most complete and current
    information.

Determine the IKEv2 Site-to-Site VPN Configuration

To determine whether an IKEv2 site-to-site VPN peer is configured and
enabled on the device, use the show running-config crypto CLI command and
look for the presence of all of the following:

       IKEv2 enabled on an interface
A crypto map specifying an IKEv2 proposal
The same crypto map in the same sequence number identifying a peer for
        the IPsec connection
The same crypto map enabled on an interface on which IKEv2 is enabled

The following example shows the output of the show running-config crypto
command on a device that has IKEv2 enabled on the outside interface on
which crypto map abcmap in sequence number 1 specifies IKEv2 proposal
secure and IPsec peer 10.10.4.108 and on which crypto map abcmap is bound
    to the outside interface:

        firewall# show running-config crypto
        .
        .
        .
        crypto ikev2 enable outside
        .
        .
        .
crypto map abcmap 1 set peer 10.10.4.108
crypto map abcmap 1 set ikev2 ipsec-proposal secure
        crypto map abcmap interface outside
        .
        .
        .
        firewall#

In this example, the device is vulnerable to authenticated IKEv2 messages
with an IPv4 source address of 10.10.4.108 destined to the outside
    interface.

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software and Firepower Threat Defense
Software SSL/TLS Denial of Service Vulnerability

Priority: High
Advisory ID: cisco-sa-asaftd-dos-4ygzLKU9
First Published: 2021 October 27 16:00 GMT
Version 1.0: Final
Workarounds: No workarounds available
Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvy43187
CVE Names: CVE-2021-40117
CWEs: CWE-119

Summary

o A vulnerability in SSL/TLS message handler for Cisco Adaptive Security
Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software
could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of
service (DoS) condition on an affected device.

This vulnerability exists because incoming SSL/TLS packets are not properly
processed. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a
crafted SSL/TLS packet to an affected device. A successful exploit could
allow the attacker to cause the affected device to reload, resulting in a
    DoS condition.

Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There
are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

This advisory is available at the following link:
    https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-asaftd-dos-4ygzLKU9

This advisory is part of the October 2021 release of the Cisco ASA, FTD,
and FMC Security Advisory Bundled publication. For a complete list of the
advisories and links to them, see Cisco Event Response: October 2021 Cisco

Affected Products

  o Vulnerable Products

This vulnerability affects Cisco products if they are running a vulnerable
release of Cisco ASA Software or Cisco FTD Software and have a vulnerable
    AnyConnect or WebVPN configured.

For information about which Cisco software releases are vulnerable, see the
Fixed Software section of this advisory.

    Determine the ASA Software Configuration

To determine if a device is configured for AnyConnect IKEv2 Remote Access,
AnyConnect SSL VPN, or Clientless SSL VPN, use the show running-config CLI
command. In the following table, the left column lists the Cisco ASA
features that are vulnerable. The right column indicates the vulnerable
configuration for the feature from the show running-config CLI command. If
the device is configured for one of these features, it is considered
    vulnerable.

    Cisco ASA Feature Vulnerable Configuration
AnyConnect IKEv2 Remote Access crypto ikev2 enable client-services port
    (with client services)
                                     webvpn

    Clientless SSL VPN webvpn
                                      enable

    Determine the FTD Software Configuration

To determine if a device is configured for AnyConnect IKEv2 Remote Access
or AnyConnect SSL VPN, use the show running-config CLI command. In the
following table, the left column lists the Cisco FTD features that are
vulnerable. The right column indicates the basic configuration for the
feature from the show running-config CLI command. If the device is
configured for one of these features, it is considered vulnerable.

On devices running Cisco FTD Software, the show running-config command is
available from Diagnostic CLI mode only. To enter Diagnostic CLI mode, use
the system support diagnostic-cli command in the regular Cisco Firepower
    Threat Defense CLI.

    Management (FMC) Software.

Workarounds

o There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

Fixed Software

o Cisco has released free software updates that address the vulnerability
described in this advisory. Customers may only install and expect support
for software versions and feature sets for which they have purchased a
license. By installing, downloading, accessing, or otherwise using such
software upgrades, customers agree to follow the terms of the Cisco
    software license:
    https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/end-user-license-agreement.html

Additionally, customers may only download software for which they have a
valid license, procured from Cisco directly, or through a Cisco authorized
reseller or partner. In most cases this will be a maintenance upgrade to
software that was previously purchased. Free security software updates do
not entitle customers to a new software license, additional software
feature sets, or major revision upgrades.

When considering software upgrades , customers are advised to regularly
consult the advisories for Cisco products, which are available from the
Cisco Security Advisories page , to determine exposure and a complete
    upgrade solution.

In all cases, customers should ensure that the devices to be upgraded
contain sufficient memory and confirm that current hardware and software
configurations will continue to be supported properly by the new release.
If the information is not clear, customers are advised to contact the Cisco
Technical Assistance Center (TAC) or their contracted maintenance
    providers.

    Customers Without Service Contracts

Customers who purchase directly from Cisco but do not hold a Cisco service
contract and customers who make purchases through third-party vendors but
are unsuccessful in obtaining fixed software through their point of sale
should obtain upgrades by contacting the Cisco TAC: https://www.cisco.com/c
    /en/us/support/web/tsd-cisco-worldwide-contacts.html

Customers should have the product serial number available and be prepared
