IMPACT The vendor has supplied the following information regarding these vulnerabilities: CVE-2010-1243 - APAR IO11279: IBM WEBi creates persistent cookies on users workstations "Security scanning software revealed that IBM WEBi creates persistent cookies on users workstations, which is a potential security vulnerability." [1] CVE-2010-1242 - APAR IO11274: IBM WEBi has cross-site scripting vulnerabilities "Security scanning software revealed that IBM WEBi was potentially vulnerable to malicious JavaScript attacks." [1] MITIGATION The vendor recommends upgrading to IBM WEBi V1.0.4. [1], which fixes the cross-site scripting flaws and within which persistent cookies can be disabled [2].
