Microsoft Corporation has released the following security bulletin
concerning a vulnerability in the anti-source routing feature of
Windows NT 4 service pack 5 and 9X operating systems.  By manipulating
information within the route pointer of a data packet, it is possible
to bypass the anti-source routing feature. The patch described in
the bulletin also allows single-homed machines to disable source
routed packets:
