A potential security vulnerability has been identified with HP NonStop
Safeguard Security Software . At the time of process creation,
DISKFILE-PATTERN ACLs on program object files might not be evaluated
correctly.

RESOLUTION

HP has released the following software updates to resolve the vulnerability
in HP NonStop Safeguard Security Software.

RVUs containing final fix: J06.18, when available.
 H06.29, when available.

G Series: No fix is planned.

Solution:

Preventative Action:

Workaround: Use DISKFILE ACLs.

Install the following SPR:

T9750H05^AHL . SPR is already available.

This SPR is usable with the following RVUs:

J06.11 through J06.11.01

J06.12 through J06.12.01

J06.13 through J06.13.01

J06.14 through J06.14.03

J06.15 through J06.15.02

J06.16 through J06.16.02

J06.17 through J06.17.01

H06.22 through H06.22.01

No fix is planned for J06.03 through J06.10, H06.03 through H06.21, or the G
series.

Subsystem interruption required.
