Impact Hostnames of DHCP clients are reflected in the DHCP Monitor page without proper sanitization. Therefore a specifically crafted hostname provided by a malicious DHCP client could yield code execution in the security context of logged in users' browsers, as they view the DHCP Monitor page. The situation will persist until the malicious DHCP client lease expires. Affected Products FortiOS 5.2.3 and lower. Solutions Upgrade to FortiOS 5.2.4. As a workaround the DHCP server can be disabled at the interface level: System > Network > Interfaces > Edit "interface name" > Untick the "DHCP server" checkbox.
